Four intrepid athletes tackled 10 challenging events over two days in July. Les Young, 33, took first place with 5,756 points. His 11.34 time in the 100 meter dash was the best performance of the meet, scoring 786 points.

Many volunteers helped conduct the decathlon. The first day was part of PVTC's biweekly all-comers meet.
