Each summer, Potomac Valley Track Club (PVTC) conducts outdoor youth track meets every other Sunday at Langley High School, 9 am to noon.  Young athletes are welcome.  See www.pvtc.org/outdoor.html. Over the years, these meets were at Yorktown, St. Stephens-St. Agnes, Falls Church, and T.C. Williams High Schools before moving to Langley.

In autumn, PVTC conducts a youth track training program Sundays 3-5 pm, outdoors at Washington-Lee High School in October and indoors at Thomas Jefferson Community Center in November and December.  Cliff Tell, Paul Ryan, Donn Viviani, and Jay Wind co-founded this program in 1998.  See www.pvtc.org/youth.html

In winter, PVTC and DC Road Runners Club conduct indoor youth track meets at Thomas Jefferson Community Center on Sundays alternating with meets at Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex.  John Weidemann founded this program in 1977, and Jay Wind has directed it since 1988.  See www.pvtc.org/indoor.html

Arlington County conducts the Hershey youth track and field in spring.  Mel Labat founded this program, and Virgil Seay now directs it.

All of the above programs are conducted entirely by volunteers, with facilities and some printing provided by Arlington County.

Many youth teams practice in the DC area. See www.usatf.org/assoc/pva. Craig Chasse directs Vienna Youth Track. See www.vyi.org or www.geocities.com/vayouthtrack for more information.
