2012 PVTC Decathlon/Heptathlon Championships

DETAILS: This is a USATF certified competition in conjunction with PVTC’s All-Comers Meet (certification is pending).

Women can elect to run in an experimental decathlon if they so choose.

STARTING TIMES: Saturday, June 23 Sunday, June 24

9:30 am Check In and Implement weigh in 10:30 am 110m Hurdles

10:30 am 100m / 11:00 am 100m Hurdles (W Only) 11:00 am Long Jump (W only)

WHERE: Falls Church H.S., Falls Church, VA

EVENTS:

DECATHLON: M/W – DAY 1: 100M / LONG JUMP / SHOT PUT / HIGH JUMP / 400M

DAY 2: 110M H / DISCUS / POLE VAULT / JAVELIN / 1500M

HEPTATHLON: W – DAY 1: 100M H / HIGH JUMP / SHOT PUT / 200M

DAY 2: LONG JUMP / JAVELIN / 800M

TRACK: 400-meter tartan. Javelin will be off grass. Discus ring is textured cement.

ENTRY FEE: Athletes 14-18 -- $35 by June 15, $45 by June 20

Athletes 19-59 -- $50 by June 15, $70 by June 20

Athletes in college or 60&over -- $40 by June 15, $55 by June 20

Event t-shirt $10 extra

AWARDS: Medals to top three USATF and PVTC age groups 14-18,19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over

Minimum age 14. All events must be attempted - Masters (40+) excluded

CERTIFICATION: PVA/USATF - PVTC Decathlon/Heptathlon Championships

EQUIPMENT:                Starting blocks available- Track spikes may not exceed 1/4" in length
                                    Throwers are responsible for their own implements.
                                    Pole vaulters are responsible for their own pole (storage available)
