Both races start on the east side of East Potomac Park south of the golf course entrance.
Our 5K starts at 7:50 AM at the "START" banner, south of the gate near the entrance to the golf course.
The 5K course runs south around Hains Point, north to a turnaround on the west side of East Potomac Park, south again around Hains Point, and north to the "FINISH" banner on the east side of East Potomac Park. For the 5K, the START and FINISH banners are collocated.

Please pick up your bib number at the picnic tables near the START/FINISH line, between 6:45 AM and 7:45 AM. Please affix your bib number
visibly to the front of your shirt with safety pins. Please don't remove the tear-off tag at the bottom of your bib number, and please do not
attach a safety pin to that tear-off tag. We collect the tear-off tags at the finish line to score the race. We use manual scoring rather than
electronic scoring, and we are completely dependent on your tear-off tag being intact at the finish.
Please be sure your distance "5K" or "10K" is correct on your tear-off tag. If you are a 5K race walker, please be sure "RW" is correct on the bottom of your tear-off tag.
We begin preparing race results immediately after the first finisher in each race, and we present holiday-themed awards as soon as
possible for each race.
We post the results on Saturday afternoon at www.pvtc.org
The 5K/10K are races in PVTC's year-long Ed Barron Series
You may register for the subsequent races in our Ed Barron Series on our web page www.pvtc.org
