Thank you for joining Potomac Valley Track Club's Young Flyers youth track & field program

We look forward to coaching your young athlete on Sunday, November 16, from 3 PM to 5 PM, at Thomas Jefferson Community Center, 3501 2nd Street South, Arlington VA 22204.

Same structure as every week. Circle time at 3:00 PM, running & walking groups at 3:20 PM, electives including jumps and throws at 4:00 PM, relays at 4:30 PM, refreshments at 4:55 PM, courtesy of Meighan and Aaron Fongyen

Dress warm, so we can go outside and enjoy the November sunshine!

Our guest today is the incomparable Makenzie ("Big Mac") Kolvoord, 7, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, who ran Potomac River Run Half Marathon on Sunday morning. Mak's target is to break the world single-age record for the half marathon, and to keep breaking world records until she wins the Olympics.

If you have an area of special expertise, and you want to present a five-minute talk on November 23 or 30, or December 7, we welcome you. Please write back to me.

I want to invite you and your young athletes on Sunday, November 23, to Potomac Valley Track Club's Doggie Dash Half Mile at 2:00 PM and People's Measured Mile at 2:30 PM, starting and finishing at the playground outside Door #12.

See www.pvtc.org/dogdash to enter. You don't need a dog to run in the half-mile race, but it helps.

    See y'all on Sunday!

No races for me today, but I direct a marathon, and my challenge is to get back to Arlington in time for youth track!
