Q. WHAT IS THE TIME SCHEDULE OF THE EVENTS?
A. We will publish the time schedule around March 10, after late entries close on March 5, and we know how many entrants we have in each event.
Q. WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE TO THE DC AREA FOR MY EVENTS?
A. Please plan to arrive the day before and leave the day after your events.
Q. WILL YOU FOLLOW THE SAME ORDER OF EVENTS AS IN BOSTON 2008?
A. Running events will go in a similar order to Boston 2008, but not perfectly in that order, and not on that time schedule, as we will have many more athletes each day running.
For field events, the schedule will be MUCH different than Boston 2008, as our facility layout is different. (For instance, at Boston, they can't do HJ and dashes at the same time, but we don't have that limitation.)
Q. ABOUT WHEN WILL YOU START EACH DAY?
A. We start about 9 AM each day, but maybe 8 AM for throws and other events as needed. We end about 6 PM on Friday and Saturday and around 2 PM or 3 PM on Sunday.
Q. IF I DON'T HAVE A CAR, HOW CAN I GET AROUND?
A. Our host hotels Radisson Largo and Holiday Inn Express have shuttle buses that go to Metro and Prince George's Sportsplex. Athletes with cars will drive to and from the host hotels at various times.
Metro goes everywhere in the DC area. Largo Town Center is the end of the Blue Line, which goes to downtown DC and National Airport without changing trains. Morgan Boulevard Station, also on the Blue Line, is a short walk from Prince George's Sportsplex. See for directions
